Exposure Synchronization in Optical Camera Communications for Time Division Multiplexing

Optical camera communication (OCC) is a type of visible light that employs as the receiver. Various flicker-free OCC methods using general-purpose low-frame rate have been proposed. In particular, undersampling method uses short exposure and light-emitting diode blinks faster than camera's frame rate. Despite time, transmitter has to send symbol for period or longer because relationship between timing receiver indeterminate. We propose resolving this indeterminacy by synchronizing transmitter. proposed method, sends multiple data channels in time division multiplexing, selects channel. Then, single multilevel phase shift keying extracted from pixel value frame. Experiments confirmed could be synchronized even with degraded signal–noise ratio select desired The achieved bit error $10^{-6}$ at 46.2 dB under various modulation schemes.
